Beauty and the Geek
David was the winner of the 4th season of "Beauty and the Geek." With his partner Jasmine, they won America's hearts by being voted by the audience as the overall winning team.
Growing up in Paramus, New Jersey, David was always fascinated by stories and games, interests he has never outgrown. When he was nine, he received the Dungeons & Dragons Red Box as a gift from his cousin which was his first introduction to the wide world of role-playing games, the perfect synthesis of his two core interests. Nevertheless, he always had a scientific mindset and upon matriculating at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, he became a double-major in astronomy and physics.
While at college, he discovered another aspect of RPGs: live-action role-playing or LARPing. It was through his LARPing group, Quest, he first met Anthony Robinson (Survivor: Fiji) and when Anthony first appeared on television, he thought, "I could do that" and subsequently found his niche as a "geek" on "Beauty and the Geek."
Today, David lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he still continues participating in games, whether it's weekly board game nights with friends, playing in one of two D&D campaigns, or running an event for Quest. In addition, he recently did work for Firehose Games, an independent studio that published Slam Bolt Scrappers for the PlayStation Network this past spring.
Charity is no stranger as David is a Freemason and a member of the Scottish Rite, fraternal organizations dedicated to various charitable programs. Most recently, he also joined the Mystical Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm (Grotto), a society similar to the Shriners, except they wear black fezzes instead of red ones.
