Reality Rally

#justask is the latest hashtag that will create ripples that will impact many people in many ways, way beyond the ripple effect we may all hear about. Amanda Colello-Palmer has heard “just ask” many times as we all have and at Reality Rally 2017 it really struck a chord that has created a wave of incredible ripples that touched many.

During the Reality Rally Star and VIP visit to Michelle’s Place she heard Team The 3 Amigos, John Vataha, Steve Pickett and Rick Fortin say “just ask” as this is how they have raised well over $12,000.00 every year for Michelle’s Place. She heard EJ Snyder from Naked and Afraid say “just ask” and he raised over $8000.00 in 2017 and thousands in the 4 years he has attended Reality Rally.

 So Amanda “asked” and look what happened.  Amanda is the Executive Chef at Harrahs Casino Fiori's Restaurantt in Funner California.

  Amanda is a Temecula resident and was on the TV Show Hell’s Kitchen. She told Harrahs she was raising funds for Michelle’s Place and “asked” Harrahs if they would be able to do something. “Do something” is an understatement with what they did.

All-in-4 PINK, an incredibly magical experience for 20 of the Michelle’s Place survivors and thrivers of breast cancer and a guest each.They were invited to the Harrahs Spa for pampering which they all deserved which we know will help make their breast cancer journey a little easier and to be shared with their guest….no cost to any of them and a priceless memory for all.

The leadership of Harrahs know what it is to lead. They took and idea and ran with it plus while I was walking around EVERY Harrahs employee greeted me. wow, they did not know me....I was just another person at Harrahs but they don't treat anyone like "just another person".!!

A massage, facial,manicure pedicure any or all of their choice provided by the Spa Treatment Team who are now part of that journey.Just think how that "ask" gave all of these wonderful therapists such a warm feeling knowing the good they were doing.

 Special signs in the Spa especially for the survivors and thrivers, food and music by Mark Augustin all to let them all know 'they are special. Prizes were also given away in a "funner" drawing for more fun at Harrah's  

 Harrah’s Resort SoCal certainly did honor those affected by breast cancer with an afternoon of relaxation, a spa experience designed to promote relaxation and most importantly – FUN! While they showed they really care. And yes, the town really is called Funner California and they live up to it in so many ways.

The “do something” goes even further.  They’re raising funds for Michelle’s Place. Harrah's Funner community goal is $10,000 and Harrah's Resort SoCal got the ball rolling with a extremely generous donation of $5,000 donation. Let’s work together to meet or even beat the $10K goal. They have huge signs all over the Casino floor starting in the elevator, showing everyone coming through their doors how to donate and make a difference in the lives of many receiving services through Michelle’s Place.Who knows, maybe one of these ripples is someone seeing the Michelle’ Place signs everywhere might have just discovered a lump and did not know who to turn to for help…..now they know, Michelle’s Place. Who knows if someone seeing the signs may have been putting  off their mammogram and will now get it done

The “do something” rippled out to San Diego and CBS Radio hopped on this fun and amazing cause with a very generous $1000 donation.

 

All of this began with an “ask” that has rippled out to touch and will touch so many with the funds donated to Michelle's Place.

I am personally touched that Amanda heard The 3 Amigos and EJ Snyder say “just ask” and that this gave Harrahs the amazing opportunity to put their creative minds and generous hearts into making such an amazing offer and long lasting memories for so many.

Why would any of us not “ask” all those we know, thus robbing those we ask of the opportunity to put their creative minds and their generous hearts to work to impact what Michelle’s Place is able to continue to do.
