Reality Rally

People ask me a lot, “How long will you do Reality Rally”?

I sometimes wonder as well how long will we do it. The event is such a huge amount of work for not only myself but so many of our key Production Team for whom I am eternally grateful. So how long will we do it?

The main question is: “How long will the contribution from Reality Rally be needed to support so many in need of all Michelle’s Place does ?”

The answer to both questions is, until cancer has been eradicated and no one is walking through Michelle’s Place doors.

Michelle’s Place is celebrating their 15th year of open doors and open arms and unveiled their donor wall at an evening of celebration last week. Michelle’s dying wish to help others has been fulfilled in ways I wonder if she even knew was possible. Marilyn, Michelle’s mom, still cries when she talks about her daughter, but now she not only cries for her loss but because she sees what has grown from that wish. We all cry with her. I reached for my Kleenex as the Donor Wall was unveiled and Reality Rally was top and center, a huge reminder that what all of us at Reality Rally do does make a very big difference and contributes to changing so many lives. The Donor Wall, as you can see in the photo, is filled with all the good in this world, people who care and contribute in so many ways.

Looking at Michelle’s family with the donor wall it is testament to the power of a family and all who have gathered around that family to fulfill a dream and make Michelle’s Place all it is. A place of love, help and support led by the family, the Board, Kim, the Center Director and all the staff and volunteers. Looking at the Reality Rally logo it is further testament to the power of a family, the Reality Rally family. A huge family of dedicated volunteers, sponsors, Reality Stars, people from Temecula and beyond who have gathered around to make another dream come true and to make a difference where they can. Our Reality Rally family is actually in the thousands who are part of us in some significant way. Thank you to my Reality Rally family which includes my immediate family.
