Reality Rally Represents!
- by Super User
Reality Rally represents a lot of things to a lot of people. It represents HOPE for those dealing with cancer. It represents COMMITMENT for all those that faithfully give up their free time for a worthy cause. It represents LOVE for Reality TV, but most of all for each other. And when Reality Rally is over, it represents ACCOMPLISHMENT for every single person who attended, volunteered and participated. In my years working with RR, I've felt it all...Hope, Commitment, Love and Accomplishment...and it feels great.
After the event, Gillian often hears from volunteers, Reality TV stars, Reality Rally racers, etc. They all say a similar story. Here's a few testimonials regarding Reality Rally:
This year was my daughter's and my 3rd year volunteering at Reality Rally. We have decided that this will become our yearly tradition for as long as Gillian will have us. This event is amazing and it excites me to see the community of Temecula come together to raise funds and awareness for Michelle's Place and breast cancer. I have made numerous friends through this event that I will hold dear for years to come. Breast cancer has affected my family and we have lost three of our family members to this cancer. My hope and prayer is that through these efforts, women will be able to get early detection and lessen their chances of succumbing to this cancer. - Maria Morgan Volunteer
It’s all about the cause! Reality Rally is an experience of a lifetime. Giving back to a cause that you know is going to help someone, make someone smile, make a family stronger and most importantly give a woman the resources she will need to fight breast cancer. My husband and I attended reality rally and the energy, friendliness and kindness we received from Gillian, the staff and everyone in Temecula was amazing. Thank you to everyone! Reality Rally was one of the funnest weekends I've ever had in my life (and trust me when I say that I've had some good weekends). I would like to thank ANYONE/EVERYONE involved in putting this event on, especially you Gillian!! Without all the hard work from you and all the volunteers none of this would be possible! The rally itself was one of the coolest things that I've done in a long long time, (it doesn't hurt that we came in 4th outta 67 teams and were the first "All Reality" team to finish... not bad for a team full of Canadians eh haha). But in all seriousness I was privileged enough to have a great chat with Michelle’s parents during the casino night. They were such amazing people and it really put everything into perspective for me. Talking with them just reaffirmed how incredible this event really is. It makes you feel good when you help out a great cause. It’s like food for the soul... and this weekend just made my soul hungrier!! I am honored to have been a part of Reality Rally 2015, and I'll definitely be comin’ back for many years to come!! Much love! Arlie Shaban, Big Brother Canada
