I'm sure you remember CBS Survivor contestant Nina Acosta. She was the second member of the Salani tribe to leave during Survivor: One World. I was bummed. I have a special place in my heart for Survivor contestants who are over 50 and women. Nina is also a retired LAPD officer. Yep, I was bummed. I'm sure she was too, but what can you do? Life goes on. Then Nina heard about Reality Rally and attended in 2013.

At the young age of 27 in 1988 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was single and just started dating a special man. I suggested that we stop dating because it wasn't fair to him to have to go through the ups and downs with me as I didn't know where this disease would take me. He said there was no way he was going to leave my side, and he didn't! It was a long road to recovery as I had a right radical mastectomy with reconstructive surgery, but did not have to go through it alone.

Reality Rally has a very special place in my heart. I've loved Reality TV from the very beginning. I can remember watching Big Brother in 2000 with my son, who was just 9 years-old at the time. Little did I know that reality TV would become a staple in everyone's lives. I could never have predicted that after 14 years, shows like Big Brother, Survivor and Amazing Race would be still be going strong.
