Reality Rally

The Holidays are all around us and we are grateful and blessed that we can spend the time with family and friends.This is why we organize Reality Rally every year, to provide much needed funds for Michelle’s Place so that those receiving services can spend their years ahead with their families. Donations made through Reality Rally for Michelle's Place: Breast Cancer Resource Center helps make this possible.

Michelle’s Place opens their arms and their doors to those seeking help, support and answers. They recently lost one of their young clients with a 5 year old daughter whom we all met when she came to meet all the Reality Stars attending Reality Rally 2015. We were all touched and inspired by her strength as she shared her 5 year struggle with the battle she ultimately lost. She told all of us how much Michelle’s Place had meant to her from the beginning of that journey from the moment she heard that dreaded diagnosis when she was pregnant with her first child 5 years ago. She leaves an empty place at their holiday table and a very big hole in many hearts.

As you all gather with friends and family this Thanksgiving Day, take the time to thank God for health, too! As we anticipate #Giving Tuesday to support women with breast cancer, a combination of thankfulness, awareness, and gumption will be what it takes to spur an amazing response.

As a little precursor, Gillian says, "This is the story of one of the most remarkable women I have ever known, and not only does she raise funds for breast cancer in the most unbelievable way, but she donates to Michelle's Place through my fundraiser every year. At the age of 60, Barbara Jo Kirchbaum set out to walk, repeating her mantra: "I walk because I can't walk away". 19 years later, she has become a legend and I am honored to know her and thank her for taking the time to donate to our charity. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are all about buying, buying, buying. And yes, we are all blessed enough to live in a wonderful country where this is a possibility--with stores holding literal doorbusters to get our business. But we are also blessed to live in a country of incredible generosity which happens all year round, with one special day set aside annually to bring awareness to the value of giving.
